Did you watch FSU football against Boston College on the ABC last week? If you did, you sat through a ton of Red Bandanna references(much respect to that story, but we get it after eight times) and a growing excitement each time Boston College made a play in the second half to close the gap of what should have been a blowout.

Nevertheless, FSU football will be on ABC in the noon slot again for their huge matchup against Clemson(thanks Clemson for losing against Duke and making this a noon game)! Normally, I’d be upset, but my wife planned for us to attend an “all-white” party that night, so I was thrilled when the noon slot got announced!

The broadcast trio will be Sean McDonough, Greg McElroy, and Molly McGrath. McDonough is a graduate of the well-respected S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse, McElroy played quarterback at Alabama, and McGrath is a graduate of Boston College’s Communication and Broadcast Journalism program. She was also the captain of the Boston College cheerleading team in college.

I’m sure we’ll have to endure a gazillion references to how long it has been since FSU beat Clemson and how tough it is to play in the environment at Death Valley. I’m sure they’ll have a lovefest with Dabo Swinney and talk about how Boston College made it a close game last week.

However, I look forward to some time in the second half when they have to talk about how great FSU looks. I was confident in this game before the season, and I still feel the same way. I think the Boston College game was a blessing in disguise, and we’ll likely see that bear out Saturday afternoon. At the very least, we don’t have to endure another ACC Network broadcast.
