FSU football survived a road contest versus the Boston College Eagles, where they came out victorious by a score of 31-29. Victories in college football are never easy and hopefully, it serves as a valuable lesson for the Seminoles to remain focused because you will get the opposing team’s best shot every single week.

Some fans were wondering how far the Seminoles would fall in the latest AP poll, given that FSU almost coughed up a 31-10 lead late in the third quarter.

On Sunday afternoon, head football coach Mike Norvell and company are listed at the No. 4 spot in the updated AP poll.

In case you were wondering, here is how the rest of the AP poll turned out:

  1. Georgia

Closing Thoughts

The Seminoles will have to remain motivated through the rest of the season given that they play three teams that are listed in the AP Top 25 on their schedule: Duke, Miami, and Florida. Plus, they go on the road this weekend to take on unranked Clemson, whom they have not beaten since 2014.

This isn’t the time to get overly excited or concerned about a ranking, considering that we are only three games into the 2023 season. As head football coach Mike Norvell alluded to in his press conference, this football team has to remain focused and control what they can control. It is easy to get complacent with success. Nonetheless, the future of the football program seems to be bright as the college football media continues to discuss the Seminoles in a positive light.
