FSU football: 3 huge overreactions to Boston College win

The FSU Defense Sucks
Listen, the FSU defense didn’t play well Saturday against Boston College, especially on the first two drives. However, they settled in and forced five consecutive punts and gave the FSU opportunities to stretch the lead to 31-10.
I said this on the Built For Playmakers Livestream Saturday night. The FSU defense put themselves right where they wanted to be on third downs, with Boston College facing six third and longs, and couldn’t get off of the field.
It was a combination of guys not doing their jobs, poor communication, and the Boston College quarterback making nice plays with his legs and arm. The FSU defense had only allowed offenses to convert 30 percent of their third down opportunities going into the game.
I think the defensive performance against Boston College was a combination of young players(Omar Graham Jr.) making mistakes filing the wrong gap and Kevin Knowles at safety missing a few tackles. We can ask why Omar Graham Jr. was in the game at that point, but I saw Kalen DeLoach leave the game a bit before that also. It was the first game at safety for Knowles with Akeem Dent out with an injury. Can they get those communication issues in the secondary fixed by next week?
As bad as the defense played, they still only allowed 22 points and came up with a big goal line stand and got a stop when the game was on the line, while the offense did them no favors not scoring over the last 20+ minutes.
