Head football coach Mike Norvell and FSU football will travel to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, to take on the Boston College Eagles in a sleepy noon eastern time kickoff on ABC.

The Seminoles will look to start the season with a 3-0 record for the first time since 2015. The football team seems determined and prepared to make this season one to remember.

As we inch closer and closer to the game, here are three impact players that should be monitored in this one.

RB Trey Benson

This game is a contest that will feature high-powered winds, which will allow the Seminoles’ offensive unit to lean upon their running game. Talented back Trey Benson should be able to have a memorable performance against an Eagles’ defensive unit that ranks No. 121 in the FBS in rush defense, where allow 215 rushing yards per game. The former Oregon transfer is looking to become a 1,000+ yard rusher for the football team this year, and this could be a great way for him to accomplish that feat.

LB Tatum Bethune

Much like Florida State, the Boston College Eagles will likely try to impose their physicality by establishing their running game with quarterback Thomas Castellanos as well as running backs Kye Robichaux and Pat Garwo III. Linebacker Tatum Bethune is currently the team’s leading tackler (10), and will be tasked with coming up in run support to make the Eagles’ offensive system one-dimensional.

CB Jarrian Jones

In the event that quarterback Thomas Castellanos wants to make his impact through the air, the Seminoles’ secondary will have to be ready for everything that the Eagles will throw at them. Cornerback Jarrian Jones was given the honor of breaking the rock after his notable performance in the 66-13 victory over Southern Miss. Can the former Mississippi State transfer continue to build upon his positive performances?
