FSU football will travel to Boston College on Saturday for its first road game this season. The game will be a noon kickoff, and most FSU fans were happy since the last two FSU games have been extremely late kickoffs.

The Southern Miss game didn’t end until nearly midnight and was essentially over after the first quarter. FSU are large betting favorites against Boston College, so fans are excited to see the game and not have to wait all day.

However, the expectation was FSU would roll into Death Valley in week four against Clemson for an epic showdown for ACC supremacy.

It’ll still be an important game, but it won’t have the spotlight like most thought in the preseason since Clemson lost their season opener against Duke. The Clemson game will be a noon kickoff.

Many FSU fans voiced disappointment with the game time, but it’s probably a good thing. FSU will likely be betting favorites, and Clemson will have their underdog mentality. I’m sure their fans will circle the wagons to attempt to give them big home field advantage.

I’m sure their fans will show up for the game, but they’ll likely be more subdued with a noon kickoff opposed to a 3:30 p.m. or primetime kickoff. That’s an advantage for FSU, although, as I pointed out in my preseason predictions, I expected FSU to go and win regardless.

The other good news is FSU fans don’t have to wait all day for the game. FSU can handle their business, and fans can watch the other games throughout the day.

It’s a solid day, with several top 25 teams facing off against one another. Heck, Clemson will likely sneak back into the top 25 after this week if they beat FAU and someone barely ranked loses their game.

FSU fans should rejoice in knowing the Noles have an excellent shot to beat Clemson for the first time since 2014.
