FSU football: 4-star DB Jamari Howard trending to FSU?
FSU football fans understand how pivotal it is to recruit at an elevated level to compete for championships.
The Seminoles’ coaching staff has done a tremendous thus far, acquiring highly-touted prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Florida State currently ranks No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
More specifically, first-year defensive back Patrick Surtain Sr. has been on fire as he has already obtained verbal pledges from prospects such as five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, five-star safety KJ Bolden, and four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III since being hired in January.
The Seminoles are coming off a momentum blowout victory against the LSU Tigers, where they showcased their dominance in the second half of the contest.
Those results speak volumes in attracting highly-touted prospects to come to the university.
On Monday, the first update of positive recruiting developments surfaced as Class of 2024 four-star cornerback target Jamari Howard from Norland High School in Miami, Florida, has received a crystal ball prediction in favor of Florida State with a confidence level of 6 out of 10 from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
Howard has been a prospect that the Seminoles have prioritized since he de-committed to Michigan State on May 13th. Since he chose to reopen his recruitment, he visited Tallahassee for a camp on July 29th instead of visiting rival Florida. It also helps that the talented defensive back was in attendance for the Seminoles’ massive victory against LSU.
The coaching staff has remained patient with the defensive back throughout his process and hasn’t wanted to force him into committing to the Seminoles.
While this could be a recruitment process that could escalate into Signing Day, FSU should be confident in their abilities to land his services if the Seminoles continue to flex their muscles on the field.
They have a ton of momentum from the LSU win, and will likely have many young guys on the field in several blowouts.
