Recruiting Targets

Chopchat spoke to several FSU commits before the game, and they all predicted the Noles would win the game, and some were very close to the eventual blowout score.

Several commits were at the game, which likely helped solidify their decisions to commit to FSU. However, it was the remaining 2024 targets, and 2025 targets and beyond where the most impact will be.

2024 top receiver and Ohio State commit Jeremiah Smith had to look at what Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson did and envision himself in the garnet and gold.

I mean, especially after Ohio State’s offense looked lethargic against Indiana. 2024 top 100 player and a top cornerback, Jamari Howard, had to be impressed. Top 100 player and a top defensive lineman, LJ McCray, had to be impressed with how the defensive line wrecked LSU all night for the second consecutive year.

The same goes for Artavius Jones, Booker Pickett Jr., and Zaquan Patterson. I’m not sure if all of those players made it to the game.

I know the majority of them were supposed to, but even seeing that performance on TV had to open their eyes even more. Not to mention the countless 2025 recruits in attendance like five-star defensive tackle Armondo Blount.
