September 9th vs. Southern Miss

The Southern Miss offense consisted of running Frank Gore Jr. into the dirt, and that was it last season. He averaged 17 carries and 106 yards per game last year.

However, nearly all of his production came against terrible teams like Liberty, Rice, and Louisiana-Monroe. All the rest of the teams on the schedule held him below 100 yards rushing.

Their defense allowed 25 ppg, which isn’t great. I’m not going to make you read much more. This team doesn’t have the talent to compete with FSU.

The Noles roll, and lots of young guys probably get some valuable snaps in the second half.

Scoring Prediction: FSU 44, Southern Miss 17

Win Share: .99

Projected 2023 Record: 2-0
