Reason 3 For Losing 3 Games-ACC Refs

Look, I couldn’t think of much more that would make FSU lose three games this year, aside from what I’ve already mentioned.

We know FSU football already historically gets the short end of the stick with ACC referees. I’d imagine the calls against them maybe even more egregious, with FSU leading the charge to leave the conference over the past few months.

I’m halfway joking, but honestly, there is documentation that FSU doesn’t get favorable calls in the conference. FSU has to go on the road to play Clemson, and Clemson is the other high-ranked team in the conference that could contend for a College Football Playoff spot.

FSU has to go on the road to play Wake Forest, who have been one of the most vocal regarding their displeasure of FSU wanting to leave the conference. There is no telling what might go down with that game taking place in the state of North Carolina.

FSU has to go on the road to play Pitt late in the season. Ultimately, I believe FSU has too much talent to affect the outcomes of most of these games unless they don’t play well.

However, a combination of FSU not firing on all cylinders on the road coupled with some Clemson 2016 referee magic? Crazier things have happened.
