FSU football has generated a ton of momentum, acquiring talent this offseason in their 2024 recruiting class.

Some individuals suggested head football coach Mike Norvell could not recruit at an effective level.

However, that narrative seemed to quiet down as the Seminoles currently rank No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

FSU football put the college football recruiting world on notice as they secured the pledge of five-star safety Khalil “KJ” Bolden from Buford High School in Buford (GA) over schools such as Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, and Alabama.

While the Seminoles are recruiting Bolden to play in the defensive backfield, the five-star prospect easily creates separation as a wide receiver in the above tweet.

Interestingly enough, FSU has made it clear that five-star Charles Lester III from Venice High School in Venice (FL) will be utilized on both sides of the football. This could be a wise strategy to ensure that Bolden’s full potential.

While Florida State has already landed four wide receiver prospects in their recruiting class with four-stars Camdon Frier, BJ Gibson, Lawayne McCoy, and Elijah Moore, the program would love to acquire as many offensive weapons as possible if it helps the team reach its ultimate goal of winning football game.

However, as most fans know, the safety position is in need of retooling at the conclusion of the 2023 season, given that redshirt senior Akeem Dent will exceed his eligibility. This season will be a large task for the position as a whole, replacing the likes of do-it-all safety Jammie Robinson, who is now in the NFL.

The Seminoles will have Shyheim Brown, Kevin Knowles II, Ashlynd Barker, Conrad Hussey, and KJ Kirkland at the position in 2024. If FSU can sign Bolden along with four-star safety commit CJ Heard, it could go a long way in making the position a strength for years to come in Tallahassee.
