FSU football: Impact of KJ Bolden’s commitment to the Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
I think it’s safe to say Mike Norvell knows what he’s doing. He has the program going in the direction he told recruits he’d have it a few years ago.
He’s gone about it in an unconventional way, with a mixture of high school recruiting, the transfer portal, and player development. As great as this 2024 recruiting class is, I believe there could be upgrades in certain areas.
The recruiting game is a young man’s game, but a coach has to balance certain things on the staff. I’m super curious to see what happens in February when some coaching contracts expire. At the same time, FSU is already in a great spot for several blue-chip players in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
Some of it could depend on how the 2023 season goes. Another thing to consider that’s different than past years?
FSU’s NIL game is finally on-par with the big dogs, and that wasn’t the case in August last year.
The last few months, and the push to leave the ACC, tells me FSU is operating with everything starting to fire on all cylinders.
