FSU football: Impact of KJ Bolden’s commitment to the Noles

Recruiting
KJ Bolden did an interview after committing to the Noles Saturday night. When asked who he would recruit to FSU? He said, “a couple of defensive linemen.”
I love that, because he understands quality defensive line play helps him in the secondary. Bolden has a high school teammate that’s a top 100 player nationally, who’s uncommitted, and FSU was the first to offer back in 2021. 2
He (Eddrick Houston) has a commitment date set for later this month, but it would get interesting if FSU could get him to delay that and get him on campus. There’s another top 100 teammate that’s class of 2025, a linebacker, who said he will go where Bolden goes.
The latter (Jadon Perlotte) is already on flip-watch. Plus, FSU’s remaining top target at cornerback, Jamari Howard, will have Bolden and Lester on him to join the recruiting class.
A combination of Bolden, Lester, Howard, CJ Heard, and Ricky Knight III in the secondary? It would be a massive haul for Pat Surtain, and would give him a lot of cache in future recruiting battles. I expect FSU to fill the remaining needs in this class now.
