FSU football begins fall camp this week, and a lot has transpired since spring. It has been a long but fruitful offseason and the best offseason since Mike Norvell became head coach.

The third consecutive year of spring camp and summer workouts provided staff with more stability and continuity. That means better results in the strength and conditioning program and player development.

The newcomers have fit in and have not missed a beat, with Mike Norvell namedropping some freshmen and players that joined the program after spring camp.

I’d be curious to know what Mike Norvell thinks after one week of fall camp. Mike Norvell had nothing but praise for much of the spring as the players locked in on meeting the standard nearly every practice.

The staff is recruiting near an elite level in the 2024 class, with commitments at several key positions along the line of scrimmage and in a solid position for several more blue-chip targets.

The August 5 recruiting weekend could move the Noles into a different conversation if everything falls in their favor. Here are the top three things we learned from summer 2023.
