FSU football fans nervously await what will happen when five-star defensive back Charles Lester III announces his commitment decision on July 28th.

Many FSU fans still suffer PTSD from five-star defensive back Travis Hunter, who flipped during the Early Signing Period to sign with Jackson State and Deion Sanders.

Well, what do you know, Deion Sanders is in the mix again, but this time as the new head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, fresh off a 1-11 season a year ago.

What has FSU football fans in a panic? Charles Lester plans to unofficially visit Colorado a few days before announcing his commitment on July 28th.

There are some similarities between this situation and the Travis Hunter situation. However, there are way more things that differ and favor FSU. Let’s get into them. First things first, as a program, FSU football is in a much different spot than December 2021.

FSU had just come off a 3-6 campaign and had no respect on the field or on the recruiting trails. In fact, folks were shocked Hunter even entertained the Noles.

Nowadays, FSU is coming off a 10-win season and already has several top players committed in its 2024 recruiting class.
