FSU football is undefeated against these FBS teams
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU has never lost to this ACC team
FSU football entered the ACC after the 1991 season and ran through the conference for years and didn’t lose their first ACC game until their fourth season in the conference.
The Noles have a winning record against every ACC team that was a part of the conference when they joined in the early 90s. One ACC team has never beaten the Noles.
Duke: The Blue Devils are 0-21 against the Noles. The two teams first met in 1992, with the Noles defeating the Blue Devils 48-21. Only one game in the series has been remotely competitive. It was Jimbo Fisher’s final season in Tallahassee, with Cam Akers scoring the winning touchdown on a 42-yard run with 8:23 remaining. FSU destroyed Duke in their final matchup in the 2020 COVID season. Mike Norvell’s first game against the Blue Devils saw the Noles win 56-35.
Duke is known as a basketball school, and have mostly been a laughing stock regarding football. However, they have beaten the Miami Hurricanes five times, including a 45-21 blowout at Miami last season.
