Jaheim Bell

Tight-end transfer Jaheim Bell is a player many folks have pegged as someone that will add a dynamic component to Mike Norvell’s offense. I mentioned the issues at the tight-end position while talking about Markeston Douglas during this countdown.

However, FSU has not had a player like Jaheim Bell in the position since forever. One of the biggest issues has been the lack of athleticism and explosiveness. FSU’s starting tight end over the past two seasons averaged 12.4 yards per reception.

Bell averaged 16.5 yards per reception in his sophomore season at South Carolina. That number decreased in 2022 due to how they used him offensively, and it’s a prime reason he entered the transfer portal to come to FSU.

Think of all the times Mike Norvell had the tight end running wide open over the past few seasons. In 2023, it’ll be Jaheim Bell running wide open and making explosive plays with the ability to make defenders miss in the open field.

I also believe he’ll be more of a threat in the red zone than players in years past. A combination of Bell and Markeston Douglas on the field simulaneously? Yes, please!
