Final Thoughts

FSU coaches did an excellent job self-scouting what their weaknesses were and addressing them with major talent upgrades.

The additional offensive linemen provide excellent depth and more size. The additions of playmakers Jaheim Bell and Keon Coleman, coupled with Johnny Wilson and the rushing attack, should give opposing defensive coordinators nightmares.

Which poison do they pick? If they try to stop the run game, that leaves the secondary vulnerable to one-on-one matchups with three of the best receivers in the country.

If they double-team one of the receiving threats? Someone else will be open. If they play man-to-man, Jordan Travis can take off and hurt defenses with his legs.

This FSU offense will go as far as they will allow themselves. I don’t see any reason (barring injuries) why they shouldn’t average over 40 points ppg in 2023.

It’s all about improving in those situational areas in the red zone, and that shouldn’t be a problem if they execute.

Improve These Defensive Areas and be Elite in 2023. dark. Next
