Difference Maker at DE/DL

I like three-star Jamorie Flagg at defensive tackle, and the addition of Daniel “DD” Holmes was massive for this class. FSU has some remaining targets at the defensive end position, like Booker Pickett Jr. and a few others.

However, it doesn’t leave much room for error, and the same goes for the defensive tackle position. FSU doesn’t need a ton of defensive tackles, even though they only took one in the last recruiting cycle.

However, they only had one defensive tackle to officially visit this summer, Alex January, and he committed to Texas recently. FSU has an official visit set with LJ McCray in October for the Virginia Tech game, but will it be too late in that recruitment?

FSU hasn’t gotten him on campus since March. He took official visits to Miami, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia in June. I guess it’s good he hasn’t committed anywhere yet, but they don’t seem to be pushing for many guys here for whatever reason.

One target I’d like to see them get more active with is four-star Artavius Jones.
