After National Signing Day in February, I wrote what the biggest recruiting needs for the 2024 cycle were for FSU coaches.

They had already addressed several needs: quarterback, running back, defensive tackle, two wide receivers, and a kicker.

They’ve had two de-commitments, a safety and a defensive tackle that was an early take that didn’t develop. I wrote the following positions were the biggest needs:

  • Big WRs
  • Difference-makers at CB
  • Difference-makers at DE
  • Difference-maker at TE
  • Selective at OL
  • Quality LB’s

FSU added a big wide receiver on July 4th, with the addition of four-star Elijah Moore. They have two safeties committed and Ricky Knight at cornerback.

FSU got a commitment from one of their top defensive end targets, Daniel “DD” Holmes July 1st. The coaching staff flipped the No. 1 tight end in the nation from Georgia in April with the addition of Landen Thomas.

They added three-star linebacker Jayden Parrish in early April. They have missed on a couple of offensive linemen, but made the top three for one of their top targets, Jonathan Daniels. They have clearly addressed most of their top needs, but the biggest remaining needs are here.
