FSU football: 3-star safety target is trending to the Noles?
FSU football already has four-star safety CJ Heard from Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, in their 2024 recruiting class.
However, the coaching staff has made it known that they would like to add another safety prospect to the mix.
On Sunday afternoon, three-star safety Rydarrius “Red” Morgan from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, received a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong with a confidence level of 6 out of 10 in favor of the Seminoles.
After Wiltfong added his crystal ball prediction, Noles247 Contributor Zach Blostein and Noles247 Florida State Insider Chris Nee joined the club and predicted the defensive back to commit to the Noles.
The talented defensive back announced via his Twitter account that he will announce his commitment on July 4th:
Morgan has gone on three official visits during the month of June, which included Florida State (June 2-4), Cincinnati (June 9-11), and Miami (June 23-25).
In certain cases, it can be difficult for the school with the first official visit to get the prospect to commit. While it is good that a program gets the first impression, it usually benefits having the last official visit before making a decision.
With that said, the Miami Hurricanes will likely have had the last official visit before the Phenix City, Alabama, native pledges to the program of his choice.
The arch-rival Miami Hurricanes have already suffered a loss this recruiting cycle after four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, decided to pledge to the Seminoles.
Knight III took his last official visit to Miami before committing to Florida State. As a result, having the last official visit does not guarantee a program gets a prospect.
If Morgan were to commit to the Seminoles, he will become the third defensive back in the fold with four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III and four-star safety CJ Heard.
