FSU football is getting ready for its massive recruiting weekend where it will host several highly-touted prospects on campus.

Can FSU be the talk of the media?

The Seminoles will be looking to showcase its recruiting prowess as their arch-rival Florida Gators have been the talk of the national media for the last few weeks due to their recruiting efforts.

Daniels to FSU?

On Thursday afternoon, five-star offensive tackle target Jonathan Daniels from Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Florida, received an expert prediction from On3’s Josh Newberg.

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has not secured a commitment from an offensive line prospect in their recruiting cycle yet. This has been an unusual sight as Atkins is considered one of the best recruiters on the Seminoles’ staff.

Atkins has acquired twenty three offensive lineman prospects/transfers since being hired in 2020. He has turned their offensive line from one of the worst units in the country to a very serviceable unit.

Recruiting outlook

In terms of recruiting for the 2024 recruiting cycle, FSU missed out on two of their top three prospects in four-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete and four-star interior offensive lineman Jason Zandamela, who both committed to USC.

It is paramount that the coaching staff is able to get Daniels (arguably their top remaining offensive lineman prospect) to commit to the program. Keep in mind that three-star offensive tackle target Tye Hylton will be officially visiting this weekend. FSU will likely try to get both Daniels and Hylton to join their class after this weekend.

Danzy to the good guys?

On Thursday afternoon, FSU received more good news, as four-star running back target Micahi Danzy from Florida High in Tallahassee, Florida, received a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles with a confidence level of 7 out of 10 from Noles247 Florida State Insider Chris Nee.

With four-star running back target Christian Clark committing to Texas, the Seminoles have set their sights on acquiring the hometown product. The coaching staff has been open to acquiring another running back prospect to pair alongside four-star commit Kameron Davis from Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia.

Offensive recruiting going well for FSU

FSU has done a tremendous recruiting on the offensive side of the football during the 2024 recruiting cycle where seven of their eleven commitments are on offense.
