FSU football has four wide receiver prospects in their 2024 recruiting class with four stars Camdon Frier, TJ Abrams, BJ Gibson, and Lawayne McCoy.

Targets at wide receiver

That hasn’t stopped the Seminoles from pursuing a variety of prospects at the position, such as five-star Joshisa Trader, five-star Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State commit), five-star Cameron Coleman, four-star James Madison II, and four-star Elijah Moore.
The skepticism for wide receiver coach Ron Dugans has vanished within the fanbase, given that he has secured the commitments of seven wide receiver prospects within the last two recruiting cycles.

Coleman to FSU?

On Monday afternoon, the rich got even richer, as five-star Cameron Coleman from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama included Florida State in his top eight schools list.
His top schools list consists of Florida State, Clemson, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, and Georgia.
Coleman has official visits scheduled with Clemson (June 2-4), Auburn (June 12-14), Texas A&M (June 16-18), and LSU (June 23-25). Being from the state of Alabama, it will be difficult to lure him away from choosing the in-state Auburn Tigers.
However, the talented pass catcher has consistently showcased a mutual interest in the Seminoles. He unofficially visited FSU on June 10th for their Elite Camp. He also took a trip to campus on March 10th.
During the exit meeting with various media, he stated that he would be back in Tallahassee for an official visit during the 2023 season (most likely the Miami game on November 11th).

Analysis

This player would be an enormous get for FSU if they could obtain the services of Coleman. It is encouraging to see him visiting campus on multiple occasions. From the list of notable prospects, five-star Joshisa Trader and four-star James Madison II seem to be the most obtainable targets.

Unfortunately, four-star wide receiver commits TJ Abrams officially visited the arch-rival Florida Gators this weekend and stated that he could envision himself with the Gators. But the Fort Myers native has an official visit with the Seminoles this weekend. It looks like we will see how the situation plays out.
