FSU football defensive coordinator Adam Fuller has gotten a bad rap since getting hired by Mike Norvell.

He took over a defense that already wasn’t good and didn’t have the first year to practice and install his defense because of the pandemic.

However, there were lots of times when players would be in a position to make plays and wouldn’t make them.

Do you blame the defensive coordinator for that? Man, that’s ridiculous. However, the defense has improved year-over-year as FSU has gotten better players on the roster.

Who would have thought that would be the case? Well, anybody that pays attention to football. People tried to blame the defense for the three losses last season, but the lack of offense was more at fault in all of those games, not to mention the defense was basically without two starters for several games.

The biggest issue with the defense last season was the lack of depth at defensive tackle and a couple of areas in the secondary. However, the coaches once again added talent to meet roster needs between recruiting the transfer portal and high school ranks.

It’s why the defense should be top-tier in 2023. Check it.
