Chaminade-Madonna Prep HS, Hollywood, FL. EDWIN JOSEPH. 4-Star. Edwin Joseph ranks as the No. 324 player and No. 16 athlete nationally. He ranks as the No. 59 player in the Sunshine State and checks in at 6’0″ and 190 pounds. FSU is recruiting him as a defensive back, and the coaching staff was happy to get him in the class in the 11th hour. Defensive back is a position where we’ve seen players get on the field early with this coaching staff, even if they aren’t early enrollees. We saw Omarion Cooper do it in the 2021 season and make an impact in the second half, despite battling injuries most of fall camp. Joesph has an incredible 6’6″ wingspan and is good speed. He didn’t start playing defensive back until later in his prep career after standing out as a wide receiver. It’ll probably take him some time to get acclimated, but he should get time on special teams and possibly in garbage time.. DB
