Wake Forest

  • 28.3 PPG
  • 5.65 YPP
  • 41.29 percent third down conversion
  • 56.86 percent Red Zone TD percentage
  • No. 69 FEI

One thing about the FSU football offense last season that bothered me greatly was there performance against a bad Wake Forest defense. A lot of folks want to blame the defense for the loss, but that’s not the case since they held Wake Forest below their seasonal averages. Wake Forest lost a few of their COVID super seniors and lack overall talent in their two-deep, which explains why their defense got worst as the season went on and guys got nicked up and worn down. Will their offense maintain its level of play without Sam Hartman? If not, that likely means more snaps for a defense that allowed 30+ points in five of their last six games.
