5. RB Rodney Hill

FSU fans should know what to expect from their rushing attack: Run the football often with redshirt junior running back Trey Benson. During the 2022 season, the Greenville (MS) native had 154 carries for 990 yards and nine touchdowns. That was with redshirt sophomore Treshaun Ward (who transferred to Kansas State this offseason) being heavily involved in the offensive scheme. There are 95 carries for 628 yards and seven touchdowns up for grabs since Ward is out of the picture.

The Seminoles have a formidable running back rotation alongside Benson with the likes of redshirt junior Lawrance Toafili, redshirt sophomore Caziah Holmes, redshirt freshman Rodney Hill, redshirt freshman CJ Campbell Jr., and true freshman Sam Singleton Jr. While there could be a log jam at the No. 2 running back spot, I think Rodney Hill will emerge as the breakout candidate.

As a true freshman, Hill recorded 27 carries for 144 yards and one touchdown in a four-game sample size. Coach Norvell saw enough potential in the former three-star athlete not to jeopardize his redshirt opportunity. With his appearances, you could see his acceleration, ability to force missed tackles, and ball carrier vision on full display.

It might be a bold prediction, but I expect Hill to have over 500 yards and four touchdowns.
