DB. Westland Hialeah HS, Hialeah, FL. JAMARI HOWARD. 4-Star. Jamari Howard ranks as the No. 98 player and No. 12 cornerback nationally. He ranks as the No. 16 player in the Sunshine State, checking in at 6’2″ and 175 pounds. Howard has outstanding length, with a wingspan of about 80 inches. A former Michigan State commit that de-committed about two weeks ago. Howard is someone FSU football defensive backs coach Pat Surtain has been working on since joining the staff. FSU offered Howard in January 2022 and got him on campus for its Mega Camp last June and for the big win over Florida to end the 2022 regular season. He was back on campus this spring in March. He hasn’t scheduled an official visit to FSU yet, but the good news is he’s already scheduled his official visit to Florida on June 2 and had one set for Michigan State on June 9 before the de-commitment. This recruitment will likely be a Florida/FSU football battle, with Miami a distant third. FSU will get the final official visit between the two if he sets it up. That should bode well for the Noles.
