FSU football: Offensive recruiting 2024 target board
RUNNING BACK
Just like the quarterback position, Florida State has only one running back prospect committed to their 2024 recruiting class in the ultra-talented four-star Kameron Davis from Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia (been committed to FSU since February 4, 2021).
It is a common theme here as the Seminoles’ coaching staff were once again early on recruiting the talented running back out of Albany, Georgia. Three weeks after receiving an offer from Florida State, Davis decided to pull the trigger on committing to the Noles.
Ironically enough, Davis is a dual-threat quarterback for his high school squad. During the 2022 season, he had 2,736 passing yards and 20 touchdowns while rushing for 1,115 yards and 13 more touchdowns. Just like Kromenhoek, he does everything in his power to ensure that his team can be successful.
Listed at 5’10”, 200 pounds, Davis is unlike any running back prospect that head football coach Mike Norvell has ever seen during his coaching career. He has developed backs such as Darrell Henderson Jr., Patrick Taylor, Kenneth Gainwell, Tony Pollard, Jashaun Corbin, and Trey Benson.
But nothing compares to the size, strength, and elusiveness the Dougherty High School standout possesses. To make matters even more appealing to the Seminole faithful, the four-star running prospect decided to shut down his recruitment for good by releasing the following statement on April 15, 2023:
The Seminoles do not seem to be done recruiting the running back position (as scary as that may seem) for their recruiting cycle, as four-stars Christian Clark and Micahi Danzy have emerged as serious targets.
