No.3 FSU softball (46-8, 21-2 ACC) saw Devyn Flaherty hit her first home run of the season to get a walk-off 6-4 win and a series win over Louisville in 11 innings.

It was their 12th consecutive win and their 6-4 win over the Louisville Cardinals in as many days. Ali DuBois got the start, going 1.2 innings and allowing one earned run (three total) on four hits. Makenna Reid relieved her and allowed one hit(a solo home run) in 3.1 innings. Kathryn Sandercock pitched 2.1 innings, allowing no hits and striking out one.

Mack Leonard pitched 3.2 innings, allowing zero runs and one hit. The Noles trailed 4-0 before a Jahni Kerr double scored Josie Muffley, who had reached on a Louisville error. The Noles wouldn’t strike again until scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 4-4.

Kerr led off the inning with another double. Kalei Harding reached on an error, which allowed Kerry to score.

Michaela Edenfield singled, and Mack Leonard reached on a fielder’s choice. Hallie Wacaser singled to score two runs.

Neither team had much going until Wacaser walked to lead off the bottom of the 11th inning, and Devyn Flaherty rocked a 1-1 pitch to left centerfield for the walk-off home run.

Kerr, Harding, Flaherty, and Wacaser all had two hits, with Flaherty and Wacaser having two RBI each. Kerr and Harding drove in the other two runs. The Noles had 10 hits total, while stranding seven runs.

The Noles showed a lot of grit after getting behind early in the game. It could have been easy for them to concede after clinching the ACC Regular Season Title Friday night, but this team never quits.

They will look for their third consecutive ACC series sweep on Sunday. The game will begin at noon and will air on the ACCNX channel.
