Trey Benson

FSU running back Trey Benson mentioned missing Treshaun Ward at practice in his interview after the first spring practice Monday.

Ward was a valuable member of the football team, on and off the field. However, his departure has opened a spot that Trey Benson should naturally fill since he’s likely RB1.

It’s something Benson feels also because he talked about working on becoming a leader in his first interview.

Now it’s all about continuing to work and leading by example. However, he can’t relax too much with talented running backs Caziah Holes, Lawrance Toafili, and Rodney Hill pushing him.

FSU having Jordan Travis and Trey Benson on the field at the same time should prove valuable if/when things aren’t clicking on all cylinders.

Both guys have been in games faced with adversity and found ways to win(Louisville and Florida come to mind last year). I think Trey Benson could be the biggest leader to emerge and join the guys from last year.
