FSU football head coach Mike Norvell hasn’t been perfect since getting hired in December 2019.

However, the moves made over the last couple of years have FSU in a prime position to rejoin the elite programs once again.

Aside from bringing in the best transfer portal class in 2023, the coaches wrapped up the prep portion of that class in the Early Signing Period last month.

That meant they could focus their attention on the 2024 class and beyond in January. That’s what elite programs do because they secure the current class early and focus on the upcoming ones without having to worry about trying to fill roster needs.

That’s how FSU got so many quality 2024 recruits and beyond to a series of Junior Days this month. Well, winning 10 games for the first time since 2016 to co-sign the message sent from the coaches didn’t hurt.

Want to know something that’s crazy? The staff has been working on this 2024 class for years to get to where things can come to fruition now.

It’ll take some work, but new FSU DB coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has been in contact with Bolden recently.

These Junior Days are incredibly important because they let you know where you stand early in the process.

Of course, many of these recruits have already been to visit campus at least once, which is a feather in the cap of the staff to help develop those relationships. In the world of NIL and recruiting, getting recruits on campus multiple times is still an important part of the process.

Let’s discuss some takeaways and early returns from the past three weeks of Junior Days.
