Charles Lester III

Charles Lester III is a five-star recruit the Noles offered nearly a year ago today. He hails from Sarasota, Florida, and attends Riverview High School.

Lester ranks as the No. 22 player overall and the No. 3 cornerback in the 2024 recruiting class. He hasn’t committed anywhere and holds 26 offers from tons of major schools. Lester has probably visited FSU 7-8 times over the past year, including the weekend for the first Junior Day.

He’s a player that genuinely likes FSU and speaks glowingly about the Noles in every interview. Here’s what he said about the hire of Patrick Surtain Sr. to Noles247 on his last visit:

"“I don’t know much about him, himself, but just knowing about his son, and where he’s at right now, and knowing about the background that the coaches gave me on him. To me, it sounds like the almost perfect fit to the perfect team,” Lester expressed. “He sounds like a great dude to help these kids, kids like me, to improve as men and improve as football players. He seems like the one that can come and get it done, and bring this school back to DBU.”"

FSU seems to have all the ingredients to land someone like Lester. He knows all about FSU and its history and believes they are ascending as a program.

He knows Patrick Surtain Sr. is a legit guy when it comes to coaching cornerbacks. It’s all about continuing to get him on campus and developing that relationship.
