Jamari Howard

Jamari Howard is a four-star recruit the Noles offered nearly a year ago today. He hails from South Florida and attends Westland Hialeah High School.

Howard ranks as the No. 167 player overall and the No. 17 cornerback in the 2024 recruiting class. He’s committed to Michigan State but has visited FSU several times, including the Florida game in November.

Howard fits what the Noles covet when it comes to defensive backs, size, and length. He checks in as 6’2″ and 175 pounds. Howard holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Miami, Texas A&M, Duke, and Florida.

I would be surprised to see Howard’s pledge to the Spartans stick unless some under-the-radar issues push the other big-time schools away.

The fact he’s been to FSU a few times already and fits the prototypical profile of big cornerbacks is a plus. He’s from South Florida, and Surtain Sr. has great relationships in that area.

The key to this recruitment will be getting him back on campus for any of the upcoming junior days as soon as possible.
