FSU football: Ranking top five games from 2022 season

Louisville
The Louisville game was the x-factor on the schedule. It was the first true road game in prime time, and everyone felt like Scott Satterfield had Adam Fuller’s number.
If FSU had lost to LSU, they couldn’t afford to lose two in a row that early, especially coming off a bye-week. If they had beaten LSU, a loss against Louisville would derail all of that momentum.
FSU goes into the game without an injured Fabien Lovett, so the defense already has a major hole. They are going against Malik Cunningham, one of the best dual-threat QBs in the nation.
The game starts, and it’s a back-and-forth affair until Jordan Travis and Jared Verse go down with an injury.
I’m not going to lie. I thought the season was over. FSU was down a touchdown at the half, and Jordan Travis or Jared Verse was definitely not coming back into the game.
We hadn’t seen any glimpse of hope from Tate Rodemaker in his FSU career about what was about to unfold.
Johnny Wilson morphed into Superman, and the defense got some timely stops, including an interception to seal the win.
This game provided some hope FSU football has a competent back-up QB in the event Jordan Travis got hurt. Luckily, we didn’t have to find out this season.
