Oklahoma

The thrilling win over Oklahoma was the icing on the cake for the 2022 season. FSU went into the game as 10-point favorites and had to battle through early adversity to avoid getting blown out.

They had to overcome it again in the fourth quarter, and the defense had to come up with a big stop at the end of the game(like they did several times this year) to secure the win.

The offense stalled for most of the first half, only scoring one touchdown before finding life in the second half.

The defense was missing Fabien Lovett, and several reserves had to play major minutes as multiple players went down with injuries. It was a game that exposed areas the Noles need to address if they want to compete for titles in 2023. However, Jammie Robinson gave a memorable defensive effort in his final game as a Nole.

The good thing is the coaching staff was already addressing those areas before this game and have added some pieces since. Oklahoma was one of the best six-win teams in the nation and one of the most talented, despite missing some starters.

That bowl game drew the largest viewership outside of the New Year Six games, averaging 5.4 million.
