Win Turnover Battle

FSU has a common theme in all three of their losses this season. They lost the turnover battle in all three games. They turned the ball over once against Wake Forest, twice against NC State, and once against Clemson.

Oklahoma’s defense hasn’t been great this season, but one thing they do well is force turnovers, with Oklahoma having a +6 turnover margin. Oklahoma forced 20 turnovers, which included 16 interceptions and four fumble recoveries.

The good news is starting quarterback Jordan Travis only threw four interceptions all season, and two came in the NC State game.

Arguably, at least one wasn’t his fault, so in a sense, FSU should be fine here as long as they don’t put the ball on the ground.

The FSU defense hasn’t been great at forcing turnovers but began trending in that direction later in the season as they played with the lead more times than not.

FSU needs to break even or not allow the Oklahoma defense to force multiple turnovers. If they can do that, they should be just fine in this game.
