Mycah Pittman and Johnny Wilson will have 30+ receptions and 500+ receiving yards each

"Mycah Pittman has 227 receiving yards in seven games as a freshman with Justin Herbert at QB. I’m not saying Jordan Travis is Herbert, but I think Mike Norvell will look to get the ball to Pittman in key situations. He’s a guy they’ll look to get out in space and across the middle. Pittman was on pace to match these numbers as a freshman. It’s only 42 yards and 2.5 receptions per game. What’s crazy is that FSU has only had one player (Tamorrion Terry) have 30+ receptions and 500+ receiving yards in a season since 2019. Johnny Wilson has shined in practice and should be a huge red zone target. It’ll be a crime if he doesn’t receive at least 4-5 targets per game. If he can’t haul in 60 percent of targets either Jordan Travis hasn’t progressed as we thought, or he has bricks for hands. I don’t believe either. I expect the FSU passing attack to be much more formidable than in years past, and these guys are a big reason why."

Mycah Pittman has 29 receptions for 305 yards and Johnny Wilson has 35 receptions for 695 yards. We have to remember FSU didn’t have a single receiver with over 25 receptions in 2021.

I doubt Pittman will have 195 receiving yards in the bowl game so this prediction won’t hit, but I think this was a strong prediction considering most folks pessimism with the wide receivers through spring practice. What’s crazy is Johnny Wilson could easily have 45 catches and close to 1,000 receiving yards had he not dropped some passes.
