FSU football fans have been waiting for a long time to have bragging rights as state champs of Florida.

I predicted the Noles would defeat Miami and Florida in the 10 bold predictions in the preseason, and now we have all offseason to talk that smack to our rivals.

FSU dominated Miami and played their C game to beat Florida Friday night. If it were not for several dropped passes and a couple of blown coverages in the FSU secondary?

The Noles would have beaten the Florida Gators by double-digits, not to mention they had to beat the SEC referees too. Check out the fan reactions after the game:

Thoughts

FSU had a ton of recruits in attendance for the sold out game. It was an electric atmosphere, and I could hear the fans on the TV doing the War Chant for most of the game.

This game could shift some things for a handful of 2023 recruits. However, this win, and the win over Miami, will have the most impact on the 2024 class and beyond.

Mike Norvell has proof of concept, a bowl game, and a few guys that will hear their name in the upcoming NFL Draft.

I’m a fan that runs an FSU site, so I can relate to how these fans feel after such a great win. There have been days when I dreaded writing about this team over the past five years.

No lie, I literally could copy and paste some articles and change a few names, and it would have been a legitimate post. That’s how bad and predictable this program had fallen.

However, that climb from rock bottom has been an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

If the Noles can get a few players to return and address some roster holes in the transfer portal? The sky is the limit for 2023.
