FSU football 8-3) will look to win their fourth straight game since their bye week when they host the rival Florida Gators (6-5) Friday evening in primetime.

The Noles opened as -9.5 betting favorites and have covered the spread in the last six games. The Gators come into the game losers against Vanderbilt on the road as double-digit betting favors.

That loss exemplifies Florida’s season under first-year coach Billy Napier. The Gators began the season with a win over No. 14 Utah and then lost to unranked Kentucky the following week.

They followed up that loss with a life-and-death battle against a terrible South Florida team before going toe-to-toe in a losing effort with a Tennessee team a lot of folks thought had a shot to make the College Football Playoff.

LSU doubled up Florida late in the third quarter, 41-21 before Florida made a late surge to make that score respectable.

The same happened with Georgia, and Florida only beat Missouri by a touchdown.
