The FSU football and Miami Hurricane’s rivalry is amongst the best in college sports, whether the two teams are good or not. It’s one of the reasons the FSU/Miami game got the primetime TV spot instead of two ranked teams like Wake Forest and NC State.
The passion and energy are something others can’t replicate and it’s fun watching it play out in real-time on the field.
However, the energy and trash talk doesn’t end there, as there are bragging rights for an entire year.
If you remember, Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke promised they would get revenge for last year’s loss before the season began.
FSU players didn’t forget and went to social media after the dominating win to express their thoughts:

Thoughts
When a team beats their rival like FSU did against Miami Saturday night? They deserve to enjoy the win and talk that talk because Miami folks talk year-round as the reigning off-season champs since 2003.
These opportunities don’t come around often, enjoy it for 24-48 hours, and it’s time to get back to business. A loss against Syracuse next week wouldn’t diminish this rivalry win, but it would stop some of the momenta FSU has been building over the last two weeks with dominating wins.
If they can continue to dominate the opposition over the next three weeks, that would be great ammunition to use down the stretch as the Early Signing Period approaches.
Not only that, but there will be some stud players in the transfer portal, and FSU finishing the season strong, coupled with their track record with transfers would help make FSU a realistic destination for some since FSU will likely lose some players at key positions after the season.
Stay focused, and lock back in at practice this week!
