FSU football lost against Wake Forest Saturday afternoon for their first loss of the 2022 season. A lot of FSU fans acted like it was the end of the world, granted FSU was the betting favorite in the game.

I think it was a game they should have won, and it’s easy to point out why they didn’t. It’s no excuse because injuries are a part of the game, but this team is operating well below optimal levels due to injuries to some key players.

Those injuries have allowed some players to emerge, like Patrick Payton, and even freshman Daniel Lyons is playing minutes at defensive tackle and looking good in the process.

However, winning those first four games is even more crucial as the Nole’s head into the two most difficult games on the schedule.

A few things they’ve been getting away with in their wins caught up to them against Wake Forest. Here are my three lessons learned from the Wake Forest loss.
