FSU football will travel to take on the Louisville Cardinals Friday, September 16, at 8 p.m. It’s an opportunity for the Noles to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2016.

The Noles upset the LSU Tigers and come into week three off of a needed bye week, with the Cardinals coming into the game off a come-from-behind upset win over UCF.

FSU Seminoles vs. Louisville Cardinals Odds Week 3

FSU football is a slight betting favorite at -1.5, a money line of -125, and over/under at 54.5. That means FSU has to defeat Louisville by at least two points for your -1.5 bet against the spread to win.

If you bet the money line for FSU to win straight up, that means you’d have to bet $125 to win $100. The over/under implies a 28-26 score favoring FSU football.

They have shown to be the more complete team thus far, but the x-factor for Louisville is quarterback Malik Cunningham. He’s struggled some through the first two games but is one of the better quarterbacks in the nation.

Louisville has holes defensively, but they have an explosive offense if it starts clicking. FSU played in Louisiana in week one, but the crowd wasn’t truly a road crowd, with FSU fans making up about 45 percent.

That won’t be the case Friday night, and the Cardinals rolled FSU in Mike Norvell’s first trip to Kentucky in 2020. However, this FSU team is totally different now, and the development of Jordan Travis will be a factor in this game. FSU’s defensive improvement started with the second half of the Louisville game in 2021.

Did Adam Fuller finally figure some things out against Scott Satterfield? One thing that’s for sure is Fuller has this defense playing fast and physical, with the only question marks at cornerback. However, that might have been corrected with the bye week.

FSU Seminoles vs. Louisville Cardinals Prediction Week 3

I’ll save my prediction for later in the week, but it’s an important game for the Noles that could see them enter the top 25 for the first time since the 2018 preseason. I’ll be interested to see if the betting line moves more towards the Noles before kickoff Friday night.
