FSU football will open its 2022 season against the Duquesne Dukes Saturday afternoon. The attendance looks to be strong, with the FSU student section of 16,000 students officially sold out. It looks like 60,000+ could be in the stands for the 5 p.m. kickoff.

If you can’t make the game and plan to watch it on TV, you can do so on the ACC Network (Channel 612 on DirecTV, Channel 402 on Dish Network, Channel 388 on Spectrum).

ESPN+ and WatchESPN app may have a live stream as well.

If you can’t watch the game or attend, you can listen on Sirius XM (Channel 84). If you plan to attend the game, you may want to bring an umbrella, poncho, or hip waders.

I’m joking on the last part, but the rain expects to be prevalent most of the day in Tallahassee, according to recent reports.

We can expect a high of 89 degrees, partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered thunderstorms. The chance of rain is 60 percent, with humidity at 78 percent. NNE Winds will be checking in at six mph.

The chance of rain decreases to 50 percent Saturday night, with humidity at 95% and 73 degrees. FSU football has had its share of issues with the weather in their season openers. Their 2019 and 2020 games had issues with the weather but here’s to hoping the rain is just rain and doesn’t contain lightning, which could put a damper on the entire experience with long delays.

Duquesne is a run-heavy team, and the Noles will likely run it often as well. However, heavy rain could affect the passing game if the Noles intended to showcase some new wrinkles through the air.
