FSU football: Game-by-game predictions for 2022 season
By Kelvin Hunt
October 15th vs. Clemson
Clemson is one of the few teams more talented than FSU overall. Their defense has the players to be elite again, but they lost arguably the best defensive coordinator in college football last season. They will also have a new offensive coordinator.
However, this game will take place later enough in the season that they should have most of their kinks worked out. Can we expect DJ Uiagalelei to be as bad as last year?
I doubt it, and Clemson seemed to start figuring out some things offensive towards the end of last season. Will Shipley is an excellent running back that can factor into the passing game too.
Can Jordan Travis carry the Noles against a defense like Clemson? They’d have to ride his arm to victory, and while improved, I’m not sure he’s there yet.
While I think FSU has the potential to upset Clemson, I think the Tigers probably rebound enough offensively to take this one in a hard fought win on the road.
Scoring Prediction: Clemson 30, FSU 24
Projected 2022 Record: 4-3
