FSU football has a lot of variables that could impact how the season goes in 2022, which could make or break things for Mike Norvell as he heads into his third season.

Mike Norvell has been pleased with the team’s progress and there looks to be significant improvement and depth at several positions.

Here are 10 things FSU football fans can look for that will define the 2022 season for the Noles (in no particular order).

10. Injury Luck

Offensive lineman Kayden Lyles and running back CJ Campbell were lost for the year in fall camp. There are likely a couple of other guys trying to get over some issues too.

FSU had terrible injury luck at QB and offensive line last year, though the defense had outstanding injury luck. If no other major injuries occur, I expect FSU to compete for at least 7-8 wins this year.

The injury history with Jordan Travis still concerns me even though Tate Rodemaker looks to have shown a great deal of improvement since last year. The Noles have better depth on the offensive line, and that’s already getting tested with the loss of Lyles.
