FSU football has slowly assembled one of the more underrated 2023 classes in the nation. The strength of the class lies in the talent acquired in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

FSU has a few more trench targets remaining and one of them set a commitment day for later this week.

Three-star defensive tackle Tavion Gadson will announce his commitment Thursday, August 11th, at 2 p.m.

The Savannah, Georgia, product will choose between FSU, Kentucky, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Georgia, which was his top five list from the end of July.

Gadson officially visited the Noles on June 24, the big recruiting weekend that featured FSU commits Keldric Faulk, Lucas Simmons, Samuel Singleton, and DeMarcus Ward.

None of those guys were FSU football commits at the time, but gradually joined the good guys. Could Gadson be the next guy to join Tribe23? It’s possible as three crystal ball predictions are favoring the Noles right now.

Minnesota is the only other place he has officially visited, and I doubt a Georgia kid would want to go up north if he has a committable offer from FSU or another reputable school in the southeast. I don’t think he has a committable offer from Georgia, so that leaves the competition to Tennessee and Kentucky.

The Wildcats were the first of this group to offer him, but he has been on FSU’s campus more than the others by a wide margin. FSU also got the last official visit. Gadson would join blue-chip defensive tackle Keith Sampson, and his addition would push the Noles to No. 28 nationally.

The three-star Gadson lists at 6’4″ and 280 pounds, ranking as the No. 682 player and No. 80 defensive lineman and would be the second player from Georgia in the class. Here’s to hoping the Noles can add another one to the good guys.
