The FSU football team has completed week one of the 2022 fall camp. One of the first things that stand out is how different the language and tone are from Mike Norvell.

They say football teams take on the attitude of their head coach, and I think we can say that’s finally taken place in Tallahassee.

Mike Norvell is one of the most high-energy, fiery, and detailed coaches around, and it seems like the football team has taken on those positive traits.

They’ve had six practices, and Norvell was pleased with each of them overall, often pointing out what he liked and what needs to improve.

The consistency in bringing focus and high energy each day has been there. Players are holding one another accountable, and the depth acquired over the past year has made a huge difference in practice quality.

The ability to have so many players enrolled in the spring semester to experience spring camp has paid dividends.

I think we can say without question that this team is already better than last year and light years better than 2020.

There are still a few question marks, though. Let’s get to some takeaways from the first week.
