FSU football: Brock Glenn committing to Ohio State impact

Parting Thoughts
The FSU football coaching staff has had mishaps on the recruiting trail, but I don’t fault how they handled QB recruiting in this recruiting cycle.
They were not in a position for an elite QB and went for realistic guys and got a commitment from one in Parson. However, how Parson and his family(mainly his father) reacted on social media in situations were red flags, and I’m not sure that would have been the best fit for this program.
A coaching staff can’t allow a recruit’s family to bully them into making decisions when that recruit likely won’t see the field for a couple of years.
They shot their shot with Brock Glenn and Ohio State, a program that’s had much more success over the last few years and produced better QBs than FSU.
So FSU will be left with likely taking another QB project, which is no different than what they would have had with either Parson or Glenn in reality.
They’ll likely need to hit the QB portal or somehow make sure Jordan Travis sticks around for another year. However, it’ll depend on how AJ Duffy feels about that. Good luck to Glenn, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the transfer portal at some point with what Ohio State has at QB in 2024.
Maybe the relationship with FSU could be a factor at that point. At the end of the day, it’s bad for the optics, but FSU will be fine, although they missed on their top targets at QB in 2023.
