FSU football head coach Mike Norvell and three players attended the ACC Kickoff event in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wednesday.

I was tied up, so I’m a little late with my thoughts and wanted to share some of my biggest takeaways.

The three players were QB Jordan Travis, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett, and safety Jammie Robinson. Those three players came to FSU football via the transfer portal.

Lovett was All-ACC Honorable Mention, and Robinson was All-ACC First Team last year. That speaks to the condition of the roster when Mike Norvell took over as head coach and the coaching staff’s ability to identify and develop talent.

One of the biggest takeaways was the overall confidence I heard from all four individuals. Norvell was smart enough to speak in general terms when asked about expectations, but it’s clear he expects to be better than they were last year.
