Offensive Line Improved Over 2021

The offensive line was better in 2021 than it was in 2020, despite dealing with injuries to several players and a lack of depth.

However, much like the wide receivers, the coaching staff took to the transfer portal to add experience and physically ready bodies to add to that unit in 2022.

The additions of Kayden Lyles, Bless Harris, D’Mitri Emmanuel, and Jaszton Turnetine help give the Noles rotation of 7-8 capable bodies to rotate.

All of them possess experience, with Lyles and Harris enrolling this spring which should help with their knowledge of the offense.

Maurice Smith has added some much-needed weight and is still fighting to hold on to his starting position at center.

If he or Lyles can anchor there instead of getting pushed back into the quarterback? That’s going to open up a world of options for the running and passing game.

Another positive is most of these guys can play multiple positions, so if an injury does occur, it may not be the end of the world. This could be the best offensive line FSU has had since 2015-16.
